2022 (Freshman)
Appeared in 8 games for FSCJ with 2 starts. Went 1-0 with a 7.53 ERA as a role player for the Blue Wave on the mound on their run to the NJCAA World Series. Recorded 14 strikeouts in 14.1 innings. Threw 2 shutout innings with 2 strikeouts against Central Florida on February 7. Gave up only one run across 4 innings with 3 strikeouts to pick up the win against Thomas JV on April 6.
High School
Attended Land O Lakes High School in Land O Lakes, Florida, where he was a key contributor for the Gators on the mound, finishing the season with a 3-2 record and a 1.50 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 31 innings of work. Only walked 4 batters out of 127 batters faced. Helped LOLHS to a 19-9 record. Named 2020-2021 LOLHS Varsity Pitcher of the Year. Was high school teammates with fellow FSCJ teammate Patrick Groark. Played for Coach Calvin Baisley. Was an honor student and a member of the National Honor Society.

Full name is Jacob Major Ward. Born October 30, 2002, in Joliet, Illinois. Son of Scott and Ellen Ward. Has one sister, Taylor. Sister Taylor is on the swimming team at Vanderbilt University. Was a part of Council for Exceptional Children, which runs events for the Special Olympics. Lived in the country of St Kitts for four years. Nickname is Squid. Enjoys fishing and golfing. Majoring in Business.
