Baseball opens the season on the road to Tallahassee

The Florida State College at Jacksonville BlueWave baseball season is underway.

With a road trip to Tallahassee to face the Eagles of Tallahassee Community College, the BlueWave were ready for the first game of the 2020 season.

The inning was quiet for both teams as they were scoreless in the first. With FSCJ on deck the bats woke up and two runs would cross the plate, but TCC wold answer back with four runs of their own. The third inning would find FSCJ adding one run to try and recover, however, Tallahassee would increase the lead adding one of their own bringing the score to 5-3 in TCC's favor. The next few innings would each produce another run for TCC and FSCJ would fall farther behind ultimately losing 8-3.

Nathan Hood led things off on the mound for Florida State College at Jacksonville going two innings, allowing four runs on three hits and walking one. Nick Vigilante, Daniel Gaviria, Raul Alvarez, and Wilfredo Santiago each entered the game as relief, throwing two and a third innings, one and two-thirds innings, one inning, and one inning respectively.

Jaden James went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead FSCJ in hits.
