First inning woes gives Santa Fe win

First inning woes gives Santa Fe win

Despite out hitting the Santa Fe Saints nine to seven the BlueWave dropped the game in a failed comeback.

The Saints put their bats to work early in their first inning crossing eight runners across the plate. THe bats then went silent for both teams until the top of the fifth when Santa Fe added another run to their side of the scoreboard to extend their lead to 9-0 over FSCJ. The sixth inning saw more home plate action for the Saints as 4 more crossed to record runs. The BlueWave showed signs of life making it home twice, but it wasn't enough to dig them out of the 13-2 deficit they were in.

Collin Weghorst took the loss for FSCJ while teammates did their best to rack up nine hits. AJ Orrico, Tyler Prell, and Sebastian Dunn each managed multiple hits for the BlueWave. Orrico went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead in hits.
