Dunn's steady bat helps to lead BlueWave past Daytona 10-5

In game one of the series, FSCJ hosted the Falcons of Daytona State.

In a hurry to fire up the offense the BlueWave took control in the first inning scoring two runs to take an early lead. But Daytona State answered back notching three runs of their own in the top of the second inning and before the inning was over FSCJ added one more to tie the game up at 3. The third inning the Falcons would be the only team to add a run to the scoreboard, but the BlueWave would add a run of their own in the bottom of the fourth off a solo home run from Logan Nugent to tie things up again at 4 a piece. The BlueWave crossed the plate to add one in the fifth off a single by Chad Ragland to take the lead over Daytona State. FSCJ wasn't done for the day until they solidified their win in the eighth inning scoring another five runs off a rally led by singles from Sebatian Dunn and Chad Ragland and a Daytona State error of a hit by Austin Morton

The BlueWave would take the first game 10-5 with the help of four hits from Sebastian Dunn who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Dunn singled in the second, singled in the third, doubled in the fifth, and singled in the eighth. In total the BlueWave collected 14 hits on the day. Dunn, Ragland, and Nugent all managed multiple hits for FSCJ BlueWave Baseball.

Tyler Naumann pitched FSCJ BlueWave Baseball to victory. He allowed seven hits and four runs over eight innings, striking out 11 and walking one. Dalton Terrell and Drew Herring entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
