The FSCJ BlueWave fell behind early to Lake-Sumter State College Wednesday afternoon in game one of a three game series.

The Lakehawks of Lake-Sumter State College fired up their offense in the second inning scoring five runs to start things off. Second inning the Lakehawks would add another run before FSCJ could record their first on the board in the bottom of the inning. The BlueWave added their second run to the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth and FSCJ's Logan Nugent sent one deep in the eighth, but it wasn't enough to comeback from the early inning deficit. Lake-Sumter would pick up game one 6-3.

Gabriel Sevillano started the game for FSCJ lasting five and two-thirds innings before Dillon Richardson and Athanasi Obeius entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and one-third of an inning respectively. BlueWave launched one home run on the day from Logan Nugent and Trey Spratling-Williams, AJ Orrico and Alex Luscombe each racked up multiple hits.
