Heartbreaker for FSCJ BlueWave baseball

FSCJ BlueWave baseball took on USC-Sumter in the first game of three at the USC-Sumter Tournament. 

With a quiet first inning from both teams, the FSCJ BlueWave got their offense started when the USC-Sumter pitcher tempted Phillip Woulard into hitting into a fielder's choice scoring one run. USC-Sumter notched a run to tie up the game at one in the bottom of the second inning, when an FSCJ committed error allowing a run to score. The game was at a stalemate until the bottom of the seventh inning when USC-Sumter hit a double scoring one run. The BlueWave suffered a heartbreaker falling 2-1.

The pitching was solid on both sides with USC-Sumter striking out 11 and the BlueWave four. Quinton Brehm was on the mound for FSCJ BlueWave Baseball. He surrendered two runs on four hits over six and a third innings, striking out four. Dalton Terrell threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. With three hits at four at bats, Trey Spratling-Williams led the BlueWave offensively.
