Sandoval inks with NCAA Division I Louisiana Tech

Florida State College at Jacksonville BlueWave volleyball player Jhoana "Elizabeth" Sandoval has signed a National Letter of Intent.

Sandoval, a 5'11 red-shirt freshman for FSCJ, will be moving on to continue her indoor playing career at Louisiana Tech University. LA Tech is an NCAA Division I institution located in Ruston, Louisiana and competes in the C-USA Conference . 

Sandoval played both as an opposite and outside hitter for the BlueWave in 2019. She averaged 3.13 kills per set and amassing 266 kills. Sandoval was named the 2019 Panhandle Volleyball Player of the Year and selected as a member of the All-Region Team this past fall.

In addition to being a great volleyball player, Sandoval holds a 3.72 GPA in the classroom. Last year, she earned 3rd Team All-NJCAA Academic Team, All-Region Academic Team and All-Conference Academic Team honors.  She is on track to repeat those awards and complete her Associate of Arts degree this May.  Sandoval is a native of Uruapan, Mexico.
