Sandoval named Volleyball Panhandle Player of the Year

Florida State College at Jacksonville volleyball player Elizabeth Sandoval was named the Region 8 Panhandle Player of the Year.

Sandoval, a 5'11 Outside Hitter who redshirted in 2018 after suffering a season ending ankle injury made a huge contribution to the BlueWave's 14-9 season.  She led the BlueWave with an average of 3.05 kills per set in conference play with 178 kills total against PHC opponents.  Sandoval served as the team captain and sophomore SAAC representative this year.  She also garnered all conference, all region and all NJCAA academic awards last year with a 3.71 GPA.
