Krystal Santiago named FCSAA Defensive Player of the Week

The Florida State College at Jacksonville BlueWave Volleyball program is excited to announce that FSCJ libero Krystal Santiago was named Defensive Player of the Week by the Florida Colleges System Activities Association (FCSAA).

Krystal Santiago, a 5'6 sophomore from Corozal, Puerto Rico, averaged 7.1 digs over eight sets in two matches against Daytona State College and Polk State College.

In two matches this week she totaled 57 digs to stamp her name into the 25-Dig Club. Santiago totaled 31 digs and 4 assists in five sets in the win over Daytona State and her best game came in the three set win over the #1 nationally ranked and undefeated Polk State Eagles where she totaled 26 digs along with 4 assists.
