Ameera Thomas receives FCSAA Region 8 All-Central Conference Second Team honors.

Ameera Thomas is a third year participant with the BlueWave women's basketball program of Florida State College at Jacksonville and was selected to the All Central Conference Second Team.

Thomas, who has had a tremendous career while at FSCJ, has helped the women's basketball program establish a foundation in areas of competition, community service and academics. Besides being last year's leading scorer and holding a 3.9 GPA, Thomas was the FCSAA Region 8 Sandy Miller Award recipient for her achievements on and off the court.

This season Thomas again led her team in scoring during conference play with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals per game. She shot 40% from the field for the overall season.
