FSCJ softball works together to strengthen as a team

On Monday March 4th the Florida State College at Jacksonville softball team traveled to FSCJ's Nassau Campus for a day of team building.

The FSCJ Nassau Center is the home to the Outdoor Educational Center which offers interactive team-building workshops for groups of 20-30 individuals. Participants will engage in the process of working together as a team to solve problems and walk away with an a challenging and enjoyable experience.

Members of the FSCJ softball program challenged each other during multiple team building tasks. Individuals had to learn how to work with each other as a team. The course helped the group with communication, trust, accountability and working together as one. The day was filled with multiple tasks that included helping each other move two boards together as one, getting over barriers, swinging from one place to another with a rope and connecting with teammates while walking on a wire while holding your teammate's hand.

"The one thing that stood out to me as a coach," said Coach Hartsell "was the tone that my players had with each other at each challenge. They never once lost their patience or raised their voices towards each other. They remained so calm throughout the day with each task.
