Berry and Williams lead BlueWave to 4-1 win over Daytona

In a home conference match-up the FSCJ BlueWave faced the Falcons of Daytona State College.

The Falcons started things off in the second inning with a solo home run to take the early lead. In the bottom of the fourth inning, FSCJ tied things up when Madison Macik doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. FSCJ recorded another run in the bottom of the fifth on an error by the Falcons that helped the BlueWave cross the plate to take the lead. It was the sixth inning that sealed the BlueWave win when pitcher Caitlyn Berry had a four bagger followed by teammate Madison Williams dinger to capture the late inning win 4-1.

Caitlyn Berry was the winning pitcher for FSCJ allowing three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. The BlueWave tallied two home runs on the day from BErry and Williams and collected 11 hits.
