7-6 final score in BlueWave win over St. Johns River State College

The FSCJ BlueWave hosted St. Johns River State College Vikings in the first of two games on Tuesday.

The BlueWave were the first to round the bases recording one run in the bottom of the first. With St. Johns River at bat in the top of the second they answered back scoring four runs, but FSCJ's Naomi Olacio had a long ball to add another run for the BlueWave. Top of the fourth with the score 4-3 the Vikings added another run to the scoreboard before FSCJ's bat got hot to secure the lead. Breanna Swanson would single driving in one run, while Joely Leguizamon doubled on the first pitch driving in two and Amelia Olive rounded out the inning with a single that would allow the fourth run of the inning to score. The Vikings had one more attempt to regain the lead in the top of the sixth when they added another run, but it wasn't enough to push past the BlueWave.

Pitcher Caitlyn Berry recorded the FSCJ 7-6 win, while teammates Swanson, Olive and Leguizamon all managed multiple hits on the day.
