BlueWave struggle to put runs on the board

Day two of the Seminole State Tournament had the FSCJ BlueWave facing the Titans of St. Petersburg College. It did not take long to get things moving when in the first inning FSCJ pitcher walked a runner on a bases loaded situation advancing the runners one and notching St. Pete's first run of the game. BlueWave's Madison Williams knocked a dinger in the first inning to assist FSCJ in tallying two runs on the inning. With FSCJ up 2-1 heading into the bottom of the third, sophomore catcher Naomi Olacio added some fire power to the offense hitting a four bagger and the BlueWave found themselves up 4-1 to end the inning.

The fourth inning found the Titans back in the game putting up three runs to tie the game up at 4-4. That would be the closest the BlueWave would be to the Titans the remainder of the ball game. The fifth inning saw the Titans crossing the plate for an additional 10 runs.

Florida State College at Jacksonville struggled to keep their bats active and had a tough time defensively containing the offensive power of the Titans of St. Pete. Sunday's game against Saint Pete was a heartbreaker as they lost the lead late in a 14-4 defeat.

Hannah Dugan was in the circle for Florida State College at Jacksonville and Caitlyn Berry threw relief out of the bullpen. The BlueWave smacked two home runs on the day. Amelia Olive and Olacio all managed multiple hits.
