Polk State swings one away from FSCJ 8-4

In the final game of the two day softball JUCO Kick-off tournament, the BlueWave faced Polk State College.

Polk State wasted no time getting their offense started in the first inning on a single that drove one run in. In the bottom of the second inning, Florida State College at Jacksonville answered back when they tied things up 1-1 on a single hit by Naomi Olacio.

The second inning Polk was good for another two runs and shortly after a single in the third drove in a runner followed by a sac fly that added to the total. But Polk State was not done adding to their scorebook as they added three more runs scored off RBI's in the fifth inning. FSCJ notched three additional runs in the sixth inning before falling to Polk State 8-4.

Hannah Dugan was in the pitcher's circle for the FSCJ BlueWave in the last game of the tournament. Florida State College at Jacksonville totaled 11 hits behind the bats of Breanna Swanson, Madison Williams and Payton Mahon who each managed multiple hits for the BlueWave.
