Due to their stellar performances at the NJCAA National Cross Country Championships the FSCJ cross country coaching staff has selected sophomore Kayleigh McWatters and freshman Ashton Curl for the November Runners of the Month.
Kayleigh McWatters set a personal record of 20:30 over the challenging 5,000m course leading the team to a 24th place team finish at the NJCAA National Cross Country Championships. Her performance moved her to the #2 position on the FSCJ cross country team's All-time Top 10 list.
Ashton Curl set a personal record of 27:56 on the 8,000m course at John Hunt Park in Huntsville Alabama. His performance led the team to a 19th place team finish and moved him to #3 on the FSCJ cross country team's All-Time top 10 list.
"There's nothing like picking the right day to have a great day, and both of these athletes had great races at Nationals" commented head coach Jody Hale.
