Hailey Smith moved into the #1 spot for the FSCJ BlueWave Women's XC team and led the team to a solid 6 place finish  with her 9^th place finish at the Alligator Lake Cross-Country Invitational. Hailey's performance on the hot and hilly 5k course moved her to 7^th place on the BlueWave Top 10 list. Hailey was followed by strong performances from Team Captain Hannah Ziegler, Meghan Bonser, Kayla Konnick, Abigail Gray, and Faith Harrold.

A big shout out to Meghan and Abigail for impressive kicks that propelled the BlueWave ahead of Region 8 rival Pensacola State College and cross town rival Edward Water College.

John Bear led the men's team for the 2^nd time this season to a 3^rd place finish followed closely by Brennan Popik, Adrian Figueroa, Axl Linsner, Drew Stone, and Lucas VanGinkel.

Next Saturday morning the BlueWave travels to Daytona for the Embry-Riddle Cross-Country Classic at the hilly XC course that's known as "The toughest XC course in Florida."
