The Embry-Riddle University cross-country course is so challenging that it prompted head Coach Jody Hale to say in Friday's team meeting, "This week we are racing for place. No one personal record's at Embry Riddle." Four members of the FSCJ BlueWave men's cross country team proved Coach Hale wrong.

Aldren Biala, Gage West, Drew Stone, and Tyler DeSando raced to personal records over the hilly 8k course known as one of the toughest courses in Florida. Freshman John Bear's 16th place led the team to a 5th place finish in the University Division. Aldren Biala, Gage West, Drew Stone, Steven Gregory, Tyler DeSando, and Alec Nixon rounded out the top 7.

Freshmen Ally Newkirk lead the women's team to a 7th place finish followed by Emily Perry, Kiersten Bohm, Kelle Valaro, Stephanie Bautista, and Mackenzie Griffin.

In total, twenty five college teams competed in the ASICS Classic.

Next week the BlueWave travels to Seminole State College to compete in the Seminole Invitational.
