BlueWave Cross Country records fast times at the New World Fall XC Spectacular

BlueWave Cross Country records fast times at the New World Fall XC Spectacular

Despite race time temps hoovering near 90 degrees, six athletes ran their fastest 5k of the 2018 campaign Friday afternoon at the New World Fall Xc Spectacular. The event was held at the New World Sports Complex in the Cecil Commerce center.

The flat, fast golf course produced some of the best racing by the Florida State College at Jacksonville BlueWave XC teams so far this season. Aldren Biala, Brandon Russell, Matt Lava, Alex Gall, Cameron Turner, and Erika Calle all ran their season's fastest times. Alexis McClung and Aldren Biala finished 2nd in the Women's and Men's open races.

After the race Head Coach Jody Hale commented "We are starting to see the effects of hard work on race performances, now all we need is a cool morning at the next race and we will see really fast times. "

The Cross Country's next meet will be this Friday's at the FSU XC Invitational. It will be held at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.  Forecasted race time temps near 60 degrees should produce the performances Coach Hale and the BlueWave have been training working for.
