Baseball falls to St. Johns River

The FSCJ BlueWave baseball team traveled to St. Johns River this weekend for a conference match-up

FSCJ took the offensive and got things started early in the second inning when Phillip Woullard homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. The third inning then saw the BlueWave tally another run to the scoreboard before the bats of SJR came alive. St Johns River came out to challenge FSCJ crossing the plate four times to make it a 4-3 ballgame in their favor.  The BlueWave struggled to answer back as SJR runs started to mount with another run in the bottom of the fourth and another three in the bottom of the sixth. It would be enough to pull away from FSCJ for good and end the game with an 8-3 win.

Dillon Richardson was on the hill for the BlueWave going three innings before Drew Herring, Jordan Briones, and Sebastian Dunn each contributed in relief for FSCJ. Chad Ragland led the team with two hits in four at bats.
