FSCJ BlueWave baseball drops game to Daytona State College after late score

In the final game of the three game series, the BlueWave hosted the Falcons of Daytona State in a battle of bats to claim the conference win. 

Daytona State started things off in the top of the second inning quickly tallying four runs that would go unanswered by FSCJ until the bottom of the third. The BlueWave would split the gap adding two runs to make it a 4-2 ballgame. The bats would go cold for both teams for several inning but FSCJ managed to add a run in the bottom of the fifth and not again until the bottom of the ninth. With the scored tied up at 4-4 the Falcons would notch another run in the top of the tenth inning and the BlueWave would answer back keeping the score. FSCJ stayed in it until the end, but Daytona State College pulled away in the eleventh inning off a single scoring two more runs in a 7-5 victory on Friday. 

Quinton Brehm started the game for the BlueWave lasting eight innings before Dalton Terrell coming in to last the final three innings. FSCJ racked up 11 hits on the day with AJ Orrico, Trey Spratling-Williams, and Sebastian Dunn each racking up multiple hits. Orrico went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead BlueWave baseball in hits. FSCJ didn't commit a single error in the field. Spratling-Williams had the most chances in the field with 14.
