The FSCJ BlueWave Cross-Country teams ended the fall season on a high note. The men's team represented FSCJ at the NJCAA Championship finishing 13th overall. The men's team was ranked #14 going into the national championship meet. The women ended the last week of rankings at 17th in the nation.
The female duo of Shealyn Barbuto and Hannah Ziegler ran their personal best times at the national meet. The men were represented by Ken Aldrich, John Bear, Joseph Hale, Andrew Stone, Lucas Van Ginkel and Gage West. "I am so excited we actually got to run this season despite the pandemic and that our runners stayed healthy and represented FSCJ very well regionally and nationally", said Head Coach Joseph "Jody" Hale.
Here is a synopsis of the season:
WCX: 2nd place in the Mid-Florida Conference, 3rd place in Region VIII (Florida), and top 20 ranking in the nation.
MCX: 3rd place in the MFC, 4th place in Region VIII (Florida) and a 13th place finish at the NJCAA National Championship.
