FSCJ Women’s Basketball Announces Play4Kay Game/Breast Cancer Awareness Feb 15th

In conjunction with the Coach Kay Yow Cancer Fund, the FSCJ women's basketball program will be hosting its Play4Kay game Saturday, February 15 at 2 p.m. against College of Central Florida.

The first 150 fans in the door for FSCJ's Women's Basketball game against College of Central will receive a free Breast Cancer Awareness gift with the Breast Cancer Awareness emblem. Also Smoothie King on Beach Boulevard is partnering with us for the game and passing out free samples throughout the game. Smoothie King puts an emphasis on breast cancer awareness and education within their company. There will also be informational tables to gain more knowledge regarding cancer and to answer any questions you may have.

In addition to that date, the FSCJ women's basketball has elected to pledge $2 for every BlueWave free throw made for each women's basketball home game during the month of February.

FSCJ WBB Home Games in February:
vs. Daytona State | Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m.
vs. College of Central Florida | Saturday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m.
vs. Santa Fe  | Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.

Play4Kay is a fundraising initiative within the Kay Yow Cancer Fund named after the late-renowned North Carolina State Women's Basketball Coach Sandra Kay Yow. Yow is one of only six Division I women's basketball head coaches to eclipse 700 career wins before passing away in 2009, two years following the inception of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. To date the initiative has generated over $7.5 million in women's cancer research.

Fans can be a part of this initiative as well, having the opportunity to pledge a donation per free throw made by a team of their choice throughout the month of February.  Please feel free to contact Head Coach David S. Lowery at david.lowery@fscj.edu
