Women's Basketball participates in WBCA Day of Service

On September 25th, FSCJ's  women's basketball team participated in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's day of service. The WBCA scheduled events across the nation in an effort to increase its amount of community service projects after participating in over 250 programs in 2018.

The BlueWave volunteered at the Chappell Child Care Development Center near FSCJ's south campus. September marks the Chappell School's annual book reading month, where they host a book fair that the players helped celebrate. The players and coaches spent the day playing, reading, and answering questions with the eager preschoolers and 3rd graders.

This community service was done in conjunction with the hashtag #WBCADayofservice, in which womens' and girls' basketball teams are showcasing the benefits of giving back to the community across the nation. Schools such as Fresno State, Notre Dame, Washington State, Ole Miss, Belmont and others all participated in this important cause.
