Great racing, great weather, and a great course produced 8 PR's (personal records) and 3 season's fastest times Friday at the NJCAA Region 8 Cross-Country Championships held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee Florida. 

Hannah Ziegler led the women's team with a PR of 21:31 that moved her to 4^th on the TOP 10 list and an 11^th place finish. Hailey Smith's 21:45, and Megan Bonser 22:39 moved them to 6^th and 7^th on the Top 10 List. Kayla Konnick, Abigail Gray, and Faith Harrold rounded out the team effort for a 6^th place team finish.

The men's team was led over the hilly 8,000m course by a pair of fast freshmen, Brennan Popik (27:42) and Adrian Figueroa (28:07) followed by Joe Hale (29:04) Drew Stone (29:24) Axl Linsner (31:11) and Lucas VanGinkel (32:28). This performance moved Brennan to 2^nd, Adrian to 3^rd, and Joe Hale to 7^th on the TOP 10 list and the team to a 5^th place finish.

"An awesome effort today in the fastest region in the whole country. Currently region 8 has 5 men's teams and 6 women's team ranked in the top 25 nationally." Commented Head Coach Jody Hale after the race.

Next meet will be the NJCAA National Cross-Country Championships held November 13^th at Pole Green Park in Richmond, VA.
