Pringle named the FCSAA Player of the Week

The Florida State College at Jacksonville BlueWave rode the right arm of Ava Pringle to a pair of Sun-Lakes Conference victories last week and for her efforts Pringle was named the FCSAA Player of the Week by the state on Monday.

In eight sets, Pringle averaged 3.3 kills, 0.3 service aces, and 5.5 digs while posting a .387 hitting percentage. In a five-set win over St. Johns River State, she tallied 17 kills and 25 digs while adding an extra 19 digs (and nine kills) in the team's win over Lake-Sumter State on Saturday.

Pringle is a dual threat on offense and defense for FSCJ, where she is fourth in the state averaging 3.55 kills per set on the season and ranks second with 5.00 digs per set.

Pringle was joined on the Player of the Week hierarchy this week by Brooklyn Shaffer who was named the FCSAA Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week.

Pringle and the BlueWave are scheduled to play at home on Wednesday against rival St. Johns River at 7:00pm at the FSCJ South Campus.
