Monique Bryant headed to Flagler College

Sophomore and two year starter, Monique Bryant has accepted an athletic scholarship to attend Flagler College to continue her education and playing career.

Bryant has been on the Florida State College at Jacksonville women's basketball team for two seasons. During her time she garnished several awards within the college and conference. Monique was FCSAA (Florida State Colleges Athletic Association) Second Team All-Conference in the Mid-Florida Conference in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. She was the BlueWave women's basketball Team Captain and led her team in scoring averaging 13.6 points per game. Bryant was the recipient of FSCJ's Ralph Athletic Director Scholarship for the 2018-19 academic school year. Off the court she was a Scholar Athlete and member of the Academic Honor Society.

"Monique is a quiet leader who does everything with excellence on and off the court.", stated head women's basketball coach Barvenia Wooten. "Many of the freshman looked up to Monique because she led by example and always came into the gym to work on her game. It was definitely an honor and a privilege to have coached Monique. She has definitely left her mark on this program and FSCJ as a scholar student athlete. She has a beautiful smile and a caring spirit. We wish her much success"

Monique will graduate this May with her Associate Degree and with honors. She plans to pursue a career in the sports field while at Flagler College.
