FSCJ's Assistant Coach Nyesha Sims headed overseas

The Athletic Department at Florida State College at Jacksonville is excited to share the news for one of their own. BlueWave assistant women's basketball coach Nyesha Sims has signed a contract to play basketball professionally in Australia.

Sims, who was in her first year with FSCJ, has been been actively working towards an opportunity to continue her playing career. She has participated in the Jacksonville semi-professional Women's Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL) playing for the Jacksonville Beach Panthers. The WBCBL is a women's professional development basketball league that provides players an opportunity to compete while providing exposure to professional scouts from around the world.
