Game 1: FSCJ 3 vs Pasco-Hernando 1
Both teams were strong in the circle on Tuesday, but FSCJ Manta Rays defeated Pasco-Hernando 3-1. Alexis Laura started the game for FSCJ Manta Rays and recorded 21 outs.
Laura stepped in the circle first for FSCJ Manta Rays. The hurler surrendered five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out three and walking one. S Spengler led things off in the circle for Pasco-Hernando. The pitcher allowed five hits and three runs over six innings, striking out none and walking two.
Studt went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead FSCJ Manta Rays in hits.
Diaz hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the sixth for Pasco-Hernando.
Game 2: FSCJ 3 vs Pasco-Hernando 2
FSCJ Manta Rays took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 3-2 walk-off victory over Pasco-Hernando at FSCJ North Campus Field.
Both teams were strong in the circle. Murray striking out four and Smith striking out two. FSCJ Manta Rays team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing five walks for the game. FSCJ Manta Rays turned two double plays in the game.
Fans are encouraged to join the team at FSCJ North Campus on Saturday, April 26 as the team wraps up the 2024-25 season vs St. Johns River State College. Sophomore Day festivities start at 12:30 p.m. with games at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to follow.
