FSCJ unable to recover from SJR early runs

Florida State College at Jacksonville traveled to play St. John's River in a conference match-up this week.

SJR fired up the offense in the first inning when a single drove in the first run of four to start the game. The BlueWave fell behind early and couldn't come back despite a late seventh inning rally that resulted in only one run. FSCJ fell in a 4-1 loss to St. Johns River State College.

Caitlyn Berry led things off in the circle for FSCJ before Hannah Dugan would come in to throw two and a third innings in relief. Payton Mahon, Tori Richardson, Joely Leguizamon, Naomi Olacio, Dugan and Breanna Swanson all had one hit to lead FSCJ. Florida State College was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Leguizamon made the most plays with five.
