BlueWave men upset Indian River State

The BlueWave men's basketball team upset previously unbeaten and the # 8 ranked team in the FCSAA poll, Indian River Pioneers 60-56. Indian River entered the competition 5-0. This did not intimidate the BlueWave who were led in scoring by David Javorsky with 14 points (5-8 shooting from the field), and J'Michael Plummer with 11 points (3-5 shooting from the 3 point line).

The BlueWave aggressively attacked the Pioneers with stifling defense. The Pioneers came into the contest averaging 93 ppg and shooting 55% from the field. The Pioneers succumbed to the BlueWave's pressure resulting in 22 turnovers and 35% shooting from the field.

The BlueWave will begin a long eight game road trip starting with Pasco-Hernando State College on Saturday, November 17th at 4:00 p.m.
