Chelsea Hinck enters her first season at the Head Indoor and Beach Volleyball coach for Florida State College at Jacksonville.

Hinck returns to Jacksonville after spending the last six seasons with Williston State College in North Dakota. During her time at Williston, she led the NJCAA Division II program on and off the court to an impressive standing.  Her student-athletes were consistently named to the Academic Team, President, Dean’s List and selected to the Mon-Dak All-Conference Team. She also assisted her student-athletes in moving on to the next level both academically and athletically.

Hinck joined the WSC Staff in Spring 2018 as an Assistant Coach and took over the program in Spring 2019. She has led Williston State College Volleyball Division II overall team records: 47-86 (.546). Hinck has placed 15 of her student athletes on new athletic career journeys after they graduated from WSC. She has had over 21 players be named on the Academic Team and on the Williston State President and/or Dean’s list. The Mon-Dak Conference Team Selections have also placed 7 players post season.

Coach Hinck is a Florida native but lived in Williston from April 2018 through August 2023. In high school, she played for the Ridgeview High School volleyball team and was a 4-Year Varsity letterman. In the school's off-season she played club volleyball in Jacksonville (JJVA, Blaze, CCVA)  from 2003-2010 and beach volleyball on the east coast from 2005-2014.

After graduating, Hinck went on to play indoor/beach at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City Beach, Florida where she graduated with her Associates Degree in Arts before transferring back home in Jacksonville to attain her CPT from National Academy of Sports Medicine. After Coach Hinck started her CPT career in Jax and competed in National Bodybuilding Competitions she circled back to her roots in 2014 and began her coaching career at Ridgeview High School. She helped lead their Varsity Team to 4-Time District Championship Titles, as an Assistant Coach, and Head Junior Varsity Coach (2014-2018). Her passion followed all year long while coaching Club Programs where they traveled amongst the Florida and Georgia Region, with 904 Elite Volleyball Club, and North Florida Pirates Volleyball Club (2014-2018).

Coach Hinck brings expertise as a strength and conditioning coach at Ridgeview High School (2014-2018), while being proficient in Health and Wellness. Hinck holds resources, values, and knowledge that she has gained in her coaching resume over the last ten years.

Hinck’s coaching philosophy is this; to provide quality opportunities for the growth, development, and enjoyment of women's collegiate volleyball at FSCJ. The purpose of our program is to present an environment where young women can reach their academic, athletic, and personal potential both at FSCJ, and in their next chapter of life. I believe connecting through core values on our team; purpose, trust, integrity, mindfulness, accountability, leadership, respect, and excellence we will develop the life skills to be truly successful.

“The spirit, the will to win and the will to excel – these are the things that endure, and these are qualities that are so much more important than any of the events that occasion them.” – Vince Lombardi
